so, i hope it’s not comfort food, ha2…
most important.. the love grows stronger and stronger
in each and everyday

one in a million by bosson is our song,
had listened to it over a million times, both of us.. back then
every now and then, i play this song still

Young men, there’s no need to feel down
I said, young men, pick yourself off the ground
I said, young men, ’cause you’re in a new town
There’s no need to be unhappy
Young men, there’s a place you can go
I said, young men, when you’re short on your dough
You can stay there, and I’m sure you will find
Many ways to have a good time
(ymca-village people)

hang on tight..

stories for my children

Tadi pagi pas lagi bongkar2 koleksi CD dan DVD, ketemu 2 film ini. Keduanya mirip, yaitu cerita tentang anak-anak, tepatnya about a brother and his little sister.
Uda lama juga aku nonton film2 ini, jadi uda rada2 lupa alur ceritanya, tapi intinya masih ingat dan yg jelas banyak banget menghabiskan tissue tiap kali nonton, he2..
Film2 sepanjang masa buat aku..
These are the movies that i want my children to watch
Grave of the fireflies

dari wiki :)
Grave of the Fireflies (火垂るの墓 Hotaru no Haka?) is a 1988 animated film written and directed by Isao Takahata .[1] This is the first film produced by Shinchosha, who hired Studio Ghibli to do the animation production work. It is an adaptation of the semi-autobiographical novel of the same name by Akiyuki Nosaka, intended as a personal apology to the author’s own sister.
Some critics (most notably Roger Ebert) consider it to be one of the most powerful anti-war movies ever made. Animation historian Ernest Rister compares the film to Steven Spielberg‘s Schindler’s List and says, “it is the most profoundly human animated film I’ve ever seen.”
Studio Ghibli emang top daa…
Children of heaven

This one is from Iran, produced in 1997. The story contains a very simple idea, it’s about a pair of shoes. Pasti bingung ya, apa menariknya sepasang sepatu? But they really made a very beautiful story out of it, simply fantastic

Suka banget nonton video-youtube (Susan Boyle) yg satu ini
Sifat dasar manusia.. cenderung menilai sebuah buku dari sampulnya.
Menilai sesama manusia hanya dari penampilannya, so sad

It’s never too old to dream, i guess.

The Japanese have always loved fresh fish. But the waters close to Japan have not held many fish for decades. So to feed the japanese population, fishing boats got bigger and went farther than ever.
The farther the fisherman went, the longer it took to bring in the fish. If the return trip took more than a few days, the fish were not fresh. The Japanese did not like the taste.
To solve this problem, fishing companies installed freezers on their boats. They would catch the fish and freeze them at sea. Freezers allowed the boats to go farther and stay longer. However, the japanese could taste the difference between fresh and frozen and they did not like the frozen fish. The frozen fish brought a lower price.
So fishing companies installed fish tanks. They would catch the fish and stuff them in the tanks. After a little thrashing around, the fish stopped moving. They were tired and dull, but alive.
Unfortunately, the japanese could still taste the difference. Because the fish did not move for days, they lost their fresh-fish taste. The japanese preferred the lively taste of fresh fish, not sluggish fish.
So how did Japanese fishing companies solve this problem? How they get a fresh-tasting fish to Japan? If you were consulting the fish industry, what would you recommend?
As soon as you reach your goals, such as finding a wonderful mate, starting a successful company, paying off your debts or whatever, you might lose your passion. You don’t need to work so hard, so you relax.
Like the Japanese fish problem, the best solution is simple. It was observed by L. Ron Hubbard in the early 1950′s. “Man thrives, oddly enough, only in the presence of a challenging environment”.
The benefits of a challenge
The more intelligent, persistent and competent you are, the more you enjoy a good problem.
If your challenges are the correct size, and if you are steadily conquering those challenges, you are happy.
You think of your challenges and get energized. You are excited to try new solutions. You have fun. You are alive!
How Japanese fish stay fresh?
To keep the fish tasting fresh, the japanese fishing companies still put the fish in the tanks. But now they add a small shark to each tank. The shark eats a few fish, but most of the fish arrive in a very lively state.
The fish are challenged.
Recommendations
Instead of avoiding challenges, jump into them. Beat the heck out of them. Enjoy the game. If your challenges are too large or too numerous, do not give up.
Failing makes you tired. Instead, reorganize. Find more determination, more knowledge, more help. If you have met your goals, set some bigger goals. Once you meet your personal or family needs, move onto goals for your group, the society, even mankind.
Don’t create success and lie in it. You have resources, skills and abilities to make a difference.
Put a shark in your tank and see how far you can really go!

This is a very inspiring story to me. But right now, I feel just like a sluggish fish, dull but alive..

I love this one “be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle“
1 miliar

Let it rain
Jon Bon Jovi and Luciano Pavarotti, Modena, June 9th 1998
Last night I had a dream that there would be a morning after
Long days, sunshine, and peace
Long nights of love, forgiveness, and laughter
Maybe it was just a dream but it could be reality
Children are like planting seeds, you’ve got to let their flowers grow
Don’t you know
**Fà che piova, (Let it rain)
Fà che il cielo mi lavi il dolor (Let heaven wash away my pain)
Fà che piova (Let it rain)
che sia la pace il nome d’amor (That peace would be the name of love)
Through the rain I saw a child just like my child
Someone’s son or daughter
I watched as they played for a while
I wanted to cry, those babies just smiled
Maybe it was just a dream, but it should be reality
A child is just God’s sign that peace and love are seeds to make
tomorrow grow
**
Go on, we’ve tried war
No one wants peace more
Than the children who ask their dads why
**
